Technologists, including Bruce Schneier, testifying before a House committee today on IoT security said that regulation could be the only answer to solving existing vulnerabilities.

IoT devices are being infected by new DDoS malware called Linux/IRCTelnet that borrows heavily from Aidra, Bashlite and Mirai.

DVR’s, IP-enabled cameras, home cable equipment and many other IOT connected devices are that latest in potent DDoS tools available to attackers.
